Staff Nurse - Cardiac Catheter Labs

St. Thomas's Hospital site has five Cardiac Cath Labs, through which a range of procedures are undertaken, such as, diagnostic angiography, complex interventional coronary angioplasty, device implantation, electrophysiology studies and ablation, and structural heart interventions (incl. TAVI and BAV). We also provide an on-call emergency post-acute MI service.

Main duties of the job

This is an exciting opportunity for an experience nurse to join our Cath Lab team Cardiovascular at Guy's and St. Thomas's Hospital Foundation Trust.

We are looking for candidates who will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and good team players; truly passionate about providing an exceptional service for our diverse cardiology patients. The successful candidate will under go our unit specific training to be competent as a scrub and circulating nurse within the labs for various procedures as well as competent in recovering the patients in the department post-procedure.

The successful applicant will be involved in relevant quality improvement projects and patient safety initiatives within department and the cardiovascular directorate.

We have a 4 day working week from Monday-Friday with the addition of on-call emergency service for out of hours (nights and weekends), which is contractually required.
