Guy's ACU provides assisted conception, diagnostic, PGT and fertility preservation services. Founded in 1991, Guy's ACU is one of the UK's largest assisted conception clinics offering both NHS and self-funded fertility care. Our state of the art laboratory utilises time-lapse incubator technology and the best equipment to allow us to deliver optimal care. We operate a seven day service caring for patients who are undergoing funded treatment and attract both national and international self-referrals. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated HCPC registered Embryologist to join our team. Guy's ACU Embryology requires high calibre, focused individuals to join the team and support our expanding OTC service. You will undertake all routine andrology and embryology procedures as well as support the training of new laboratory team members. There will be the opportunity to complete further training to undertake embryo biopsy for the largest PGT programme in the UK. In addition to this we require scientists with clinical experience in ovarian tissue cryopreservation and HTA regulations to support Guy's OTC programme. You will also perform a range of administrative, diagnostic and support activities that are critical in delivering a high quality service and helping our patients achieve their dreams of a family. (This a fixed term 2 year post, with potential to extend, if service demands require).
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work closely with the embryology and wider ACU team to undertake a range of activities that support Guy's ACU and enable us to provide assisted conception, diagnostic testing, PGT-m and PGT-sr, fertility preservation and support the OTC programme. We operate a seven day service to ensure the best results and options for our patients.
