Job summary
You will be providing expertise knowledge on the wards and supporting a multidisciplinary team. You will also be helping with practice changes within the organisation and ensuring we are updated with the best practices in evidence-based care.
We are offering a great new way of working, independent, autonomous and supporting the patients from admission to discharge where you will be working from 9am-5pm Mondays to Fridays.
Previous experience on a Band 6 post is essential.
This post is based at St Thomas hospital, however being a car driver is essential as you might also be required to cover community sites as and when required.

Main duties of the job
You will be delivering evidence based expert nursing care with a high degree of professional autonomy on a daily basis by providing specialist advice to other health professionals and patients.
You will provide regular updates on developments and issues with the service highlighting issues in a timely manner.
You will evaluate practices to ensure interventions are effective, efficient and do make a difference for patients and colleagues.

The nurse-led team works in partnership with patients, their carers and healthcare professionals to provide expert wound care advice and follow up care.
The team aims to improve and support high standards of practice through clinical consultations, regular audits, development of guidelines and polices and by delivering formal educational training to healthcare professionals.
We believe that training and education are key factors in pressure ulcer prevention.
