The Lead Practitioner Psychologist will be pivotal in delivering the staff psychological wellbeing component as well as assisting the service leads with the strategic development of the programme. Main duties of the job
The role of the racial equity staff wellbeing psychologists has been created in recognition of the inequities in service provision and uptake for people from the global majority. Its function is to improve the accessibility and acceptability of wellbeing services and other Trust offers for racialised people. The racial equity psychologists offer culturally sensitive psychological interventions, consultation and teaching services across the organisation. Like the wider staff support offer, interventions are aimed at all levels, from preventative approaches, embedding anti-racism into strategy and policy, to responsive racial trauma focussed care for individuals and teams impacted by or wishing to dismantle the system of racism. We value principles of social justice and community action.
This is a varied and interesting role and we are looking for a proactive and creative individual who will be able to work in a team but also autonomously. The job requires excellent organisational skills. You will be able to effectively balance the clinical and non-clinical priorities of the role. You will have extensive clinical expertise to deliver both individual and group based interventions including proactive psychoeducation.
If you enjoy a challenge and working as part of a team, then this post could be the one for you.
