Job summary
The duties of the post are those of a Trust Appointed FY3 Level Trust Doctor. They will include day-to-day care of adult inpatients within the Thoracic Surgery Department in collaboration with other junior/senior staff.

The post is available for a 6 month fixed-term appointment with a view to extend to 12 months.
The inpatient care for cancer patients is based at Guy's Hospital and currently comprises of one main ward with some outlying patients on additional surgical oncology wards. The postholder will predominantly gain experience in looking after cancer patients as inpatients.. The posts include comprehensive induction, an educational programme and a full study leave allowance. You should have sufficient medical experience by the start of the post. Part 1 (or Part 2) MRCP or equivalent exam would be an advantage.

Clinical Experience:

- Comprehensive clinical experience in relevant placements
- Exposure to acute conditions

- Experience of undergraduate teaching and post graduate training
