Main duties of the job
As a band 6 Physiologist at Guys and St Thomas hospital NHS foundation Trust you will be excepted to perform a large variety of procedures such as Transcatheter Aortic Valve implantation (TAVI), Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) PCI, PFO closures, Right Heart catheterisation, left atrial appendage occlusion devices, Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), Impella. You would be expected to part of the onsite oncall PAMI service which serves are large catchment area.
Our busy Cardiac Outpatient department runs a variety of diagnostic tests alongside Consultant and Physiologist led clinics, seeing a range of pathologies including Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD), Heart Failure and Inherited Cardiac Conditions. Tests include Exercisetolerance testing, Cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET), Ajmaline studies, Holter analysis, Loop recorder implant and analysis.
