Job summary
The Cardiovascular Directorate is looking for an outstanding candidate to fill a challenging high-profile service manager (SM) role for a 12 - month fixed term period within Cardiology. The successful individual will be responsible for managing Cardiology Outpatients, Cardiac Diagnostics and the Bexley community service. As well as being responsible for overseeing the respective administrative processes in line with the Trust Elective Assurance policies and protocols, the role will be integral to coordinating OP clinic capacity to support the needs of four cardiology sub-specialties.
The SM will be responsible for the daily operational delivery and improvement of Cardiology OP services and a complex and challenging recovery agenda following the pandemic. As well as overseeing a team of admin and clerical staff, they will work in close-knit teams with Clinical Leads, Senior Nurses and Cardiac Physiologists as well as providing management and oversight to the admin and clerical team for these areas.
The SM will also be key instrumental in continuing the patient pathways already embedded between GSTT and RBH for whilst also supporting the DGM with identifying collaborative working with Trusts delivering care across the south east London Acute Provider Collaborative (APC) partnership.
