We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated pharmacy technician looking for a new challenge to develop their career in a hospital pharmacy setting.

The post offers a chance to contribute to the continued development of pharmacy services to the Surgery Pharmacy Team.
The post is suitable for a team player technician who is sensitive to the needs of service users. You will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The role is embedded in the ward teams by supporting our nurses and pharmacists to resolve any medicines management issues.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for providing a safe, efficient and accurate ward-based pharmacy service by liaising closely with pharmacists, nursing and medical staff. This role will help you to develop Medicines Optimisation and Patient Counselling skills.
You will also be required to support the Inpatient pharmacy service as an ACPT weekly on a rostered basis. Therefore, a systematic and flexible approach to working is an essential requirement.

Essential
- GPhC accredited integrated, or linked, knowledge and competence qualification(s) that allow registration in the UK as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Completion of the Accreditation Checking Pharmacy Technician Scheme (ACPT)
Desirable
- A1 workplace Assessor award OR practice supervisor certificate or working towards
- Medicine Management Accreditation or equivalent
- London Pharmacy Education and Training - Technician Self Development Programme - Stage 2 or equivalent
