International and Private Patients Liaison Officer
Guys and St Thomas' has ambitious plans to develop its private patient services and improve processes to support patient care and significantly increase income. This post is an exciting opportunity to join the International and Private Patients service working alongside clinicians and patients to provide a high quality.
Reporting to the International Service Manager for private healthcare, this role will be responsible for providing interpreting and liaison support to the patients and families, consultants, medical staff and other multidisciplinary professionals that have input in the care and management of Arabic-speaking private patients at Guys and St Thomas'.
Main duties of the job
The Private Patient Liaison Officer will also be responsible for providing an excellent liaison service to support both existing and new relationships with local Middle East Health Offices and other third parties who refer patients for private medical care.
The post holder will be expected to work with referring organisations in order to streamline access to Trust services and assist in managing patient pathways efficiently and offer a high-quality patient experience.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing team and have direct impact on patient care for Arabic speaking patients referred to GSTT.

- Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification or experience.
- Professional Arabic Interpreting, translation qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable capability and capacity for service delivery in a large, complex acute hospital environment.
Desirable
- Multilingual translation qualifications. Good medical terminology knowledge
- Evidence of continual professional development.

- Experience of working with Embassy-sponsored adult and paediatric patients within a private healthcare setting.
- Knowledge and experience of developing relationships and referral pathways in a healthcare setting.
