Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Palliative Care service at Guys & St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust.
The Integrated Local Services directorate is seeking to appoint a Less than Full Time Consultant in Palliative Medicine. This is a new 0.8WTE post and the successful applicant will join a dynamic, enthusiastic and highly supportive team.
The Palliative and End of Life Care service at Guy's and St Thomas' delivers integrated care across Guy's and St Thomas' hospitals and the communities of Lambeth and Southwark. In addition to providing outpatient services across the much wider geographical network served by the Trust.
The service has a strong record of high-quality clinical care, service innovation and quality improvement. Our service, we work closely with colleagues in our King's Health Partners' Palliative Care Clinical Academic Group and the postholder will have the opportunity to engage with our portfolio of education and research.
You must be fully registered with the GMC/GDC and hold License to Practice and be on the Specialist Register, or within six months of attaining your CCT or equivalent at interview stage.
About us
The post-holder will have regular contact with vulnerable adults and/or children (0-18 years) and therefore this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
