Job summary

We are looking for talented and ambitious band 7 Radiographers to support the expansion of our imaging departments and the introduction of additional imaging capacity across our modalities.

The Band 7 Radiographers undertake a varied role working within all of the Trust's Hospitals. You will already have highly developed skills and expertise in a wide range of modalities including CT, Interventional Radiography, Paediatric Imaging, Fluoroscopy, Emergency Department and General Imaging.

As a Band 7 Radiographer you will also need to be able to manage and lead an area of the Radiology Department in the absence of the Superintendent Radiographer. You will enhance your skills in all modalities whilst also gaining valuable experience in leadership and supervision.

The radiology department runs a 24/7 service and operates an out of hours system wherein radiographers are contracted to work out of hours shifts at night, on weekends and bank holidays.

About us

Department Information

Radiology is part of the Clinical Imaging and Medical Physics Directorate and has multiple departments on both hospital sites including Evelina London Children's Hospital and the Guy's Cancer Centre. It has an asset base in excess of £40m including many state of the art imaging systems delivering in excess of 400,000 examinations PA. The directorate is QSI accredited.

We support a wide range of clinical specialities and as well as offering diagnostic imaging we perform interventional and therapeutic procedures using image guidance. The department also has significant research activity and a commitment to multidisciplinary training and education.
