Registered Nurse required at the GSTT Satellite Dialysis Unit, Borough Kidney Treatment Centre, Community Dialysis Team
Our community dialysis team is currently recruiting an AFC Band 5 RN.
You will have experience in renal nursing and be willing to rise to the challenge of learning new skills guided by a supportive team of experienced nurses. Experience in Peritoneal Dialysis would be desirable but full support and training will be provided.
Clean UK Driving Licence Required.

Main duties of the job
BKTC is a community based dialysis service of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT) providing outpatient dialysis services for a chronic patient group. It is situated near London Bridge and Borough station within easy reach of public transport. The community dialysis team offer training and support to patients to safely and effectively dialyse in their home environment.
GSTT Renal Service is one of the largest in SE England. We are one of the leading centres in the UK for transplantation, dialysis and related care and focussed on developing our renal home therapy unit. As a band 5 nurse, your role will be to deliver safe, effective, compassionate care in a friendly, patient centred environment, both in the satellite unit and in the patients home.

-Ensure that high-quality, current evidence-based practice is delivered throughout all pathways and community dialysis encounters
-You will be responsible for the application of knowledge across the range of work procedures and practices, underpinned by both theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
-You will act as an advocate for patients within the dialysis home training pathway and the community therapy setting, to ensure a patientorientated approach is applied to the delivery of care.
- You will ensure that patients receive high-quality clinical care and ongoing support. Facilitate positive patient experience. Demonstrate your respect and regard for the individual customs, religious beliefs and doctrines of our patients and their families.
