Guy's and St Thomas' - Specialist Care - Wimpole Street has a well-established and strong brand in the private patient invested in new private outpatient and diagnostic imaging centre located in the Harley Street medical area, open since July 2016.

The facility has a wide range of state of the art equipment including x-ray, ultrasound, PET-CT, MRI and CT. Those with experience or a special interest in cardiac nuclear medicine/PET-CT (e.g. Rubidium imaging) are strongly encouraged to apply for the role.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development, growth and success of the facility as part of a multidisciplinary team. The post holders will ensure that a gold standard service is delivered to all stakeholders.

Main duties of the job

o To perform examinations across a range of clinical specialties upon a range of patient types both as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a multidisciplinary team, in a manner that meets professional, departmental and legal standards and requirements.

o To maintain an understanding of radiation protection relating to legislative guidelines within:o IRR2017o IR(ME)R2017o EPR

o To undertake scanning in the PET-CT unit, preparing radiopharmaceuticals, injecting and correctly positioning patients to undertake examinations.
