The centre offers a wide range of services to patients with chronic pain conditions, from psychologically based pain management programmes through to implantation of electrical neuromodulation devices, and we are a tertiary referral centre.
The new consultant will provide pain outpatient consultations and perform pain procedures. The spectrum of work will include musculoskeletal pain, nociplastic pain (such as Fibromylagia Syndrome), pelvic pain, cancer pain, and neuropathic pain.
We are looking for a consultant who relishes working in a multidisciplinary environment and who is keen to develop our service's pathways, working with community and other specialist services.
Our centre trains pain fellows, advanced pain trainees, and anaesthetic trainees. Experience in, and commitment to pain medicine education will be welcomed. We also are committed to clinical pain research and enthusiasm for this will be welcomed.
