The Senior Delivery Managers will play an instrumental role in leading and delivering the Trust's transformation and improvement programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to be one of the key account manager for one of our Clinical Groups and support the Executive Board in delivering its vision for better, faster, fairer healthcare.
The Senior Delivery Managers will act as ambassadors for CITI across GSTT and externally, collaborating closely with senior internal and external stakeholders. We are looking dynamic individuals who are driven to fulfil CITI's ambitions to be an exemplar internationally of a function that stimulates and delivers leading innovation, transformation and improvement.

The interview process will take the form of an assessment centre for which the candidates will be asked to carry out a number of exercises over a period of 3 hours.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will play an instrumental role in leading and delivering the Trust's transformation and improvement programmes, and will join an established Delivery team.
The successful candidate will have a specific focus on helping CITI and the Chief Medical Office to develop its strategies and infrastructure to build a strong Improvement Community across the Trust.
This will include:
- Identifying and engaging stakeholders across the organisation to co-develop the blueprint for the Community of Practice.
- Developing the strategy, governance structure and associated plans to:
- Excite and connect staff around improvement (e.g. events, rewards and recognition);
- Support capability development through training offers, coaching and mentoring programmes;
- Facilitate Trust-wide improvement events around specific improvement topics (e.g. patient safety, patient and staff experience, health equity, inclusion, sustainability); and
- Consistently communicate within and outside the organisation
- Engage the public, patients, their carers and staff throughout this process.

Working at GSTT's Centre for Innovation, Transformation and Improvement (CITI)
The Delivery Team is part of the newly established Centre for Innovation, Transformation, and Improvement (CITI).
CITI at Guy's and St Thomas's was newly founded in 2021 under the Deputy Chief Executive. The DCE is the Executive Director responsible for leading and implementing the Trust's strategy for innovation and improvement, which aims to develop an ecosystem that encourages the acceleration of new knowledge and capabilities and learn from best practices globally, to deliver improvements in patient care, research and education at scale.
CITI co-locates multi-faceted teams to provide the focal point for clinical innovators and services seeking to translate ideas orearly stageproducts or improvements into clinical practice. The Centre aims both to incubate and deliver innovations and improvement ideas, projects and programmes, working alongside and for its clinical customers for the benefit of patients.

Clinical Group Account Management
- Lead on identifying, developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships on behalf of the CITI Delivery function for a specific Clinical Group.
- Act as a CITI business partner to the Clinical Group Senior Management team and maintain an excellent understanding of the governance and data structures that support the management of operations, improvement and transformation.
- Maintaining a deep expertise in the delivery of our clinical services in the nominated Clinical Group, and the common challenges the Group faces
- Identify and track improvement and transformation activity across the Clinical Group, supporting the management of interdependencies where required.
- Track the evolving need (including around capability building) for improvement, transformation and programme management support and other areas of expertise within the nominated Clinical Group.
- Inform the identification, prioritisation and development of improvement and transformation programmes.
- Coordinate capability building support in relation to CITI Delivery skills e.g. Programme management, improvement science, patient centred design/design thinking etc.

Programme planning responsibilities
- Lead the development and utilisation of a strategy, aims and objectives for CITI delivery programmes,including research and development to identify, develop and promote best practice.
- Lead a range of complex projects and programmes related to Trust services, and utilise the transformation and / or improvement science methodology(-ies) as the basis for the management of programmes through their entire lifecycle.
- Carry out analysis to develop business cases for new areas of work and document and present to relevant authorities using prescribed formats.
- Lead other members of the programme team in carrying out rigorous project planning, identifying all activities, setting milestones and identifying activity owners.
- Monitor and track project progress against the programme plan, making adjustments if targets are not met, and providing recommendations for adjusting plans, strategies or programmes to the relevant governance forum.
- Use project management experience and expertise to continuously improve the approach to project management and delivery.
- Use knowledge of change lifecycle to plan for and ensure sustainable change on all CITI programmes (including an element of capability building in the Clinical Groups).
Manage programme risks and issues, maintaining logs and communicating escalations clearly
- Establish the appropriate governance structure for the programme, and mobilise relevant senior stakeholders to sponsor, lead the governance and drive the programme.

- Develop the measurement framework to baseline performance against agreed balanced metrics, track impact of the programmes and monitor the realisation of benefits; conducting primary and secondary research, audits and evaluations where required.
