Job summary

An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Paediatric Haematology Department as Data Coordinator/Administrator.

This is a split role of three days a week as the data coordinator and one day a week Band 4 administrator role.

This is a varied and challenging role in a complex and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of data management within an NHS environment, and will possess excellent working knowledge of excel and report writing skills. Accuracy in data handling and attention to detail are essential to this role.

To succeed you will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to develop working relationships with both clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels.

Main duties of the job

The Data Coordinator/Administrator will lead on the tracking of pathways of patients. By working closely with a wide range of clinical and managerial staff, and providing high standard of administrative support, the post holder will ensure patients receive treatment as soon as possible and ensure national targets are met.

The post holder is responsible for providing a high standard of professional and patient focused service to a range of Trust-wide specialities and will support the function on a day-to day operational basis.

The service is run with theSouth Thames Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia NetworkandKing's College Hospital.

We work closely with colleagues inadult haematologyand in the community, based at theSouth East London Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia Centre,Kennington.
