B6 Occupational Therapist - Cancer Outpatient Clinic - Guy's Cancer Centre.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our large and dynamic Occupational Therapy cancer service within our outpatient team providing clinics at Guy's Cancer Centre. We pride ourselves on being a pioneering, forward-thinking and research driven team, continuously innovating and striving to best meet our patients' needs and achieving the vision for 'Guy's Cancer'. We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Occupational Therapist with excellent clinical and people management skills to join our team and support ongoing developments of the service.

Main duties of the job

Our Specialist Cancer Occupational Therapy clinics support cancer patients with symptoms related to both the disease and its treatments, meeting their rehabilitation and supportive care needs to optimise functional well-being, safety at home, and treatment outcomes. This role will involve developing specialist skills to address symptoms such as fatigue, sleep disturbances, breathlessness, cognitive changes, and functional sensory and motor issues. The role encompasses working within consultant-led clinics where we play an integral role in the MDT and providing therapy led rehabilitation clinics and groups.

We are looking for a motivated clinician to support the ongoing developments within this forward-thinking service, helping us to lead the way in defining the Occupational Therapy role in cancer rehabilitation. A part of this specialist role will include working with the team to enhance and develop the service in line with key developments, national priorities and guidance in Cancer care.
