An exciting and interesting vacancy has arisen in the Urology Centre for a Band 5 to join our team of expert and innovative Urologists, CNSs, nurses and researchers.

We are a busy unit with a worldwide reputation.We are seeking a nurse with vision and dedication, who has nursing experience with particular expertise in urology. The successful applicant will have strong leadership and communication skills and will act as a positive role model to junior staff.
The Urology Centre at Guy's Hospital is a purpose built unit providing holistic urological care and diagnosis to patients across SE England and beyond. Our Centre is forward thinking. We are continuously evolving and developing our Service to offer our patients and staff the most effective, up to date treatments.
As a Band 5 nurse, your role will be to deliver safe, effective, compassionate care in a friendly, patient centred environment. Underpinned by relevant knowledge and combined with a positive attitude, you will be a valued member of an industrious, hard working team.

Main duties of the job
In this role you will support the clinicians and carry out a range of diagnostic procedures including flow tests, phlebotomy, assisting with flexible cystoscopies and TP biopsies.
You will also run nurse lead clinics such as Trial Without Catheter and Cystistat administration clinics. Clear, accurate, timely documentation is essential and you will be required to communicate with health professionals both within the Trust and externally.
