Job summary

Our Children's Bladder service leads the way in the care of children and families living with conditions that affect bladder control, we work collaboratively with our Urology and Renal Specialist team as many children require the service of all three specialties.. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a deputy clinical nurse specialist to join our specialist multidisciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will work in the outpatient and day-unit setting to provide holistic care and diagnostic services to children with a broad spectrum of Urological and Bladder conditions. The successful candidate will work one clinical shift on the renal / urology ward per 4 week rota to maintain clinical skills and facilitate collaborative working

It is desirable that you will have experience of conducting diagnostic tests and are able to catheterise children.

The children's Bladder service is dedicated to supporting staff to develop and progress, and this post will present the successful candidate with numerous learning opportunities.

  • BSC/1st degree (health related) or equivalent qualification/training and experience
