Job summary
Guy's & St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity available to join the Integrated Local Services (ILS) directorate as a Deputy General Manager (DGM). This role will sit as part of a pair of DGMs, reporting to and deputising for the General Manager and will be an integral member of the ILS Divisional Management Team.
This role will mange a team of 4 service managers and have operational and strategic responsibility for a range of interesting and developing adult community services including: @home, Neighbourhood Nursing, Palliative and End of Life Care, Community Heart Failure, TB, Continence Advisory, Adult Continuing Healthcare and Tissue Viability.
Main duties of the job
To deliver in this role, you will need experience of working within a multi-professional NHS team and collaborative working with internal and external stakeholders. You will need to have a strong commitment to improving performance whilst remaining passionate about quality and safety. You will have a strong proven track record of inclusive leadership and staff management. You will have a proven history of successful operational management experience, and will demonstrate a high standard of communication and organisational skills, and an ability to use your initiative.
This role will also have opportunities to lead on directorate wide service improvement projects such as the new Urgent Community Response, working closely with partners from Lambeth and Southwark Local Authority, implementing our new EPIC EHR system and designing innovative data dashboards for performance management.

The Clinical Group brings together a number of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust services that work collaboratively across the hospital and with our partners to provide excellence in clinical care, research and academia.
