Job summary
The E-Manpowers and AHP Rostering Team is part of the People Operations team within the People Directorate. As well as providing centralised operational e-manpower and AHP rostering services for all clinical groups and directorates, it also provides specialist expertise and advice to service users.
Working in collaboration with other health-roster system users across the Trust, the E-Manpowers and AHP Rostering Team will promote effective use and maintenance of the health roster system in order to promote good rostering, absence reporting and job planning practice across the organisation; thereby supporting safe and efficient use of the Trust's workforce.
Reporting to the Head of Payroll and Pensions and working closely with the Head of Temporary Staffing, the Head of Rostering will provide leadership and operational expertise in the delivery of a highly responsive, professional and flexible e-manpower and rostering service; ensuring that appropriate processes, controls, and checks are in place to maximise compliance and service efficiency.
Main duties of the job
Role modelling excellent customer service and a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement, the post holder will have line manager responsibility for the e-manpower team within the Payroll and Pensions team, and also the AHP rostering team within Workforce.
The post holder will provide high quality, advanced, specialised knowledge and technical rostering expertise to all key users of the healthroster system including managers, clinicians and other Trust staff. The post holder will also lead and support projects to extend rostering and job planning across the Trust and to ensure that the system configuration supports the needs of the service and allows for accurate management information and analytics. A key part of the role will be the provision of high quality reports on rostering, job planning and absence reporting activity for all areas to support effective workforce planning.
