Job summary

Looking for different challenge? This exciting role is just for you! You will be involved in developing a lipid transformation project work across SEL.

You will be a role model in the field of lipid management and provide a consistently high pharmaceutical service for patients in line with GSTT and ICB corporate objectives. Working to ensure equity of access of specialist services in this area of practice across SEL.

In summary, you will support leading, delivering, developing and evaluating clinical pharmacy services to cardiovascular patients requiring lipid optimisation to reduce their cardiovascular risk in accordance with the objectives set between the Specialty Clinical Lead, Directorate General Manager and Specialist Lead Pharmacist.

Main duties of the job

As a key member of the team, hosted and supported by GSTT you will be working across the ICS, to support the delivery of clinical services in optimising lipid management for patient with or at risk of developing cardiovascular disease. See JD and PS for further details.

We are looking for experienced and committed clinical pharmacists to deliver pharmacy services to our directorates and across primary care. Essentially you should be able to demonstrate the ability to appropriately recommend, substantiate and communicate therapeutic options for patients with cardiovascular disease to reduce their cardiovascular risk. This will include delivering a clinical pharmacy service to a range of patients requiring lipid management support and optimisation of therapies to reduce cardiovascular risk.

You will be supporting and training junior pharmacists and the wider MDT, whilst also maintaining and developing the services further both within the primary and secondary care. This post requires cross site working across our partner organisations and acute trusts, and also outreach working across SEL boroughs.

Candidates should have demonstrable competencies in clinical pharmacy practice, excellent communication skills and commitment to pharmaceutical care.
