Job summary
As the specialist lead for a nominated area of ET&D service delivery this role will provide a range of specialist services including advice and support to Trust Staff, Managers, Heads of Nursing and other clients on the core delivery system areas across the ET&D Department, leading one or more core areas which will include:
- Developing training programmes for Clinical Assistant Workforce
- Teaching accredited programmes for this staff group
- Teaching within the Simulation centre for this staff group
- Organising and delivering annual conferences for this staff group
- Organising and delivering forums for this staff group
- Work alongside clinical support staff in clinical areas
- Work as part of the multidisciplinary team within the clinical setting
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced Band 5 or above registered health care professional ready for the next steps in their career and seeking a new and exciting opportunity to support our nursing assistant workforce.
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic person to be the Lead for Clinical Assistant Workforce within the Education Training and Development department. This is a 1.0 wte Band 6 post, with potential for job share and will provide the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to maintain their clinical practice whilst developing new skills.
You must have either a teaching, mentoring or assessing qualification, and also be familiar with the Health Care Support Worker standards and the Care Certificate.
