Job summary
The Infection Prevention and Control surveillance and audit Analyst will support the Infection Prevention and Control Lead in the delivery of the Trust Infection Prevention and Control annual work programme.
Key areas of the role include:
Providing the IPC data surrounding the IPC assurance audit programme.
Providing the IPC data surrounding the IPC training compliance.
Providing the IPC data surrounding the IPC Datix's.
Main duties of the job
- To work as a member of the Infection Prevention Team contributing to the delivery of an Infection Prevention and Control Service within SCAS.
- To be responsible for the management of the scientific data collected by the IPC Team
- To be responsible for the submission of the Trust's data on healthcare associated infections (HCAIs), in particular, the Trust's performance against national and local objectives. For example, UKHSA and ICB quality contract commissioners.
- To monitor and predict infection trends, through the application of advanced medical statistics.
- To be responsible for reporting on the IPC annual plan, including contribution to the IPC Annual Report.
- Contribute to the production of the Infection Prevention Annual Plan and Annual Report.
- To be responsible for monitoring IPC compliance and robust governance across the Trust, including the Infection Prevention & Control Committee and any sub-committees.
- To be able to meet deadlines and to manage time effectively.
- Facilitate the ongoing day-to-day infection control service in the absence of senior members of the team.
- Comply and promote compliance with Trust policies and guidelines e.g., Health and Safety, Clinical Risk, and Infection Control..
- To carry out any other duties commensurate with the grade as directed by the IPC Lead
