Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Information Governance team on a full time basis (37.5 hours per week) at our Bicester office.
Please note this is an office based role, hybrid is not available.
Please also be aware that travel to other sites may occasionally be necessary.
Typically, behaviour is governed by the Data Protection Act 2018, GDPR, The Freedom of Information Act 2000 and other NHS/Department of Health confidentiality guidance regarding people's information.
The position is based at The Trust Headquarters, reporting to the Senior Information Governance Officer
Interviews to be held week commencing 16th or 23rd January 2024
Main duties of the job
Process / Monitor / manage the group email inboxes of Data Protection (GDPR) and Freedom of Information requests (which typically come from police, members of the public, solicitors, and coroners)
- Process / Monitor all incoming post to IG and record / log / disseminate accordingly
- Process / Monitor incoming telephone calls / queries and disseminate accordingly
- Maintain an accurate and robust filing/recording system where each request is logged with a unique reference that is easily retrieved/located when required
- Disseminate information requests to the appropriate person and monitor / chase responses to comply with legal deadlines
- Assist the Senior Information Governance Officer and Information Governance Manager in other tasks
- Scan Confidentiality Agreements and retain in the Master database
- Take minutes at IG Steering Group meetings (a shared task with other IG Officers)
- Present induction training to colleagues if required
In addition the post holder will maintain:
- an exceptional level of confidentiality
- Be computer literate and use to working with Microsoft Excel/Word
- good working relationships with stakeholders
- close working relationships with internal colleagues when helping to gather additional information relating to specific requests
