Job summary
NHS 111 Pathways trained Home Working Clinical Advisor.
Are you a Registered nurse (RN1 or RNA) who excels in assessing patients over the phone?
You must be an NHS Pathways Accredited Clinician and have a minimum of 12 months current experience working within 111 service or Integrated Urgent Care Service.
To be considered for this role:
- As an NHS 111 Clinical Advisor your job is to carry out complex clinical triage: providing assessment, advice, and information to the patient. You will have quick and safe clinical decision-making skills using your clinical judgment.
- You will also support and assist our Health Advisors in the organisation of critical situations while ensuring patient safety.
- You must have exceptional communication skills
- You will have variety of skills to enable you to assess and deliver high quality care to patients across all age groups.
Main duties of the job
As a Clinical Advisor for NHS 111, you will be responsible for ensuring that your patients receive a quality service.
- You will have good IT skills and be competent in the use of Adastra
- You will provide assessment, medication advice, and health information to patients calling NHS 111.
- You will triage patients and facilitate their access to appropriate levels of care, including provision of self-care advice; referral to health and social care professionals, and providing health and medication information.
- You will have worked with a variety of clinical specialists to ensure safe clinical processes for patients
- Meet the required standards for key performance indicators
- Be committed to self-development and training
- In addition to this you will be able to demonstrate your flexibility to meet service needs and enthusiasm to deliver high quality patient care.
