We have an exciting opportunity for a 18 month secondment; This is a key leadership role in managing, developing and delivering operational support services across SCAS.
This position SCAS wide and the successful post holder would need to be willing to travel across SCAs sites.
The successful post holder will have:
- Relevant operational management experience in an operational function.
- Experience of managing change programmes within their area or expertise.
- Experience of operational planning, objective setting and performance management.
- Experience of working with stakeholders across multi-disciplinary teams within the healthcare economy including formal presentations as and when required.
- Budget management experience.
- Demonstrable experience of working with data and business intelligence systems, being able to convert the information into actions adapted to the audience being engaged.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of this role is to lead and be responsible for the management of all Operational support service activities within SCAS to ensure uninterrupted supply of goods and services to front-line operations. This role encompasses the provision, management and maintenance of clinical equipment and medical consumables used by front-line operations staff. The role will require effective management and oversight of third party logistics suppliers to ensure a robust make ready service is delivered for front-line operations staff.
Develop and maintain a well-trained team so that they can solve routine operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
As a senior manager within South Central Ambulance Service you will be required to provide leadership to your team to ensure the effective provision of the service they provide and to champion change in the organisation. You will ensure that your staff are motivated and express a positive attitude towards the organisation. You will address any issues and concerns that may inhibit your staff from achieving both their personal and organisational goals.
