Job summary

This role works with existing developers to support and develop the organisational Business Intelligence systems and transfer the expertise to the team. The role will include developing a robust and effective data warehouse to support associated reporting tools and developing an overall technical strategy that enables the organisational BI strategy to be implemented.

Main duties of the job

Develop and lead on the implementation of the technical strategy that will enable the implementation of the organisations BI strategy.

Work with the BI Programme to support and design, build, develop and maintain the Business Intelligence solutions.

Provide technical knowledge to support projects.

Transfer the knowledge to the information teams.

Provide expert advice and guidance to managers of new and existing clinical services about structures required to support reporting and analytics.

Expert leader for SQL Server Data Warehouse Design, Development and Administration.

South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of emergency, urgent care and non-emergency healthcare services, along with commercial logistics services.

  • Educated to degree level or have significant equivalent demonstrable practical Information development.
  • Specialist knowledge of Information Management & Technology systems and processes acquired through training or equivalent practical experience

Desirable

  • Project Management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2).
  • Educated to Masters level or have equivalent relevant practical Information Development experience

Knowledge

Essential

  • Line management of staff (2+)
  • Good experience of NHS data sets, broad understanding of NHS information procedures, legislation and policies
  • Expert knowledge of Patient Record Systems and supporting procedures
  • Extensive experience in data management, extraction and manipulation
