Band 2 - Administrator - Part time (22.5 h/w)
We are looking for admin role to cover Phlebotomy reception.
The post holder is going to undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the phlebotomy department, including booking in blood test appointments for Outpatients clinics, works in close partnership with medical nursing and Phlebotomy team to ensure the smooth running of the outpatients department.
Main duties of the job
Entering patient details onto the CernerTo respond to all telephone enquiries and to keep recordsMake telephone enquiries to GP surgeries, Consultants and other hospitalsTo inform the Office Team Leader, on a regular basis, of any work backlogsCarry out daily auditsBook Phlebotomy/Blood Test appointments onto SwiftqueueEntering patient details onto the ICE systemDealing with outpatients appointments booking and print appointment calendar or SwiftqueueTo carry out duties within the Phlebotomy department as and when required by the Phlebotomy Manager/ Phlebotomy Team LeaderTo answer calls and respond to emails.To handle customer enquiries both over the phone and by email.To research required information using available resources.To enter new customer information into system and update existing customerinformationTo identify and escalate priority issues and route calls to an appropriate resource.To follow up customer calls where necessaryTo document all call information according to standard operating procedureGreet patients in a courteous and appropriate mannerMaintain excellent communication between patients, nursing staff, clinicians and other members of administrative and multi-disciplinary team at all times.
