Are you a Registered Nurse who is looking to develop and enhance your knowledge of Endoscopy?
We would love you to consider joining our JAG Accredited Unit at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and we think we have got something special to offer you.
We currently work a 6 day working week (Monday to Saturday 08:00 to 18:30) and have the benefit of doing self-rostering with priority requests.
Endoscopy is a friendly team and we welcome applicants from anyone who is a good team player and has a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
We are a busy, diagnostic and therapeutic unit dealing with out-patients and in-patients and we also support the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme.
The Royal Berkshire Endoscopy Unit is committed to delivering high quality patient-focused service - we are a well-equipped and modern department which specialises in a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
We are a JAG accredited unit and undertake bowel cancer screening as part of the National Screening Programme.
We are looking for dynamic individuals willing to learn some highly skilled endoscopy techniques and actively assist in providing quality care for patients undergoing endoscopy procedures.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide excellent individualised nursing care to patients attending the endoscopy unit from pre-assessment, support in the procedure rooms, through to discharge.
In return, we offer you a flexible and motivating work environment and you will have full support of the Endoscopy Unit in providing both a clinical and competency based training programme (Jets workforce).
In addition, the endoscopy unit consist of a multidisciplinary team and we encourage all our staff to develop their clinical, managerial and leadership skills in a positive learning environment.
We are a very busy, expanding unit and are looking for some reliable and flexible staff.
The unit is open Monday to Saturday 08:00 to 18:30.
