Job summary

Senior Audiologist

We are looking for an experienced Audiologist to join our team. The role has scope for flexibility with access to complex Adult, Hearing Therapy, Paediatric and Balance clinics depending on skills, experience and interests. The service is committed to training and wider professional development set within a supportive and friendly team, with clinics in multiple localities.

You will have a degree (or equivalent) in Audiology and have obtained professional state registration.

Main duties of the job

Clinical Role

  • You will have experience in one of the Audiology service pillars: Adult Hearing, Paediatrics or Balance.
  • You will be working independently in this area and have a solid under-pinning knowledge and experience.
  • Exposure to wider Audiology practice is welcomed beyond your specialism but not a requisite. As an integrated team seeing patients of all ages, there is scope to work across service pillars adding scope for variety and development in the role.
  • The service is proud to be IQIPS accredited since 2014 and, as part of the team, you will be part of pushing forward service quality and the technical knowledge of the department.
  • You will be part of a friendly team who are keen to share learning and are supportive in peer development. There is an active research programme and a proven track record of creating opportunity for wider training, research and academic study.

Management Role

  • Operational management of a section of the wider service will be encouraged, and provide opportunity for ownership and service development as supported by the Clinical Leads.
  • There may be opportunity for line management and / or training supervision.

Additional Responsibilities

  • The candidate will be expected to be part of wider service development within the senior management team
  • The role will involve training and supervision of internal and external students
  • You will be expected to complete audits and service evaluations to help maintain IQIPS accreditation
