Main duties of the job

  • To be responsible for the operational management and clinical leadership of the front door services, including the day-to-day management, supervising staff and providing clinical support. Working closely with the Professional Lead and Head of Therapies to ensure alignment to service objectives and strategic goals of the Trust.
  • To lead the Front door OT team in the development of their strategy and service plans with support from the Specialist Medicine Leadership team and in line with the Trust vision, values and clinical services strategy.
  • To ensure a timely and effective service is delivered across all inpatient specialities by helping to monitor staffing levels and workload capacity on a daily basis, providing relevant advice and information to the trust as needed.
  • To use advanced knowledge and clinical reasoning skills to manage own caseload of patients, including those with highly complex conditions, as an autonomous practitioner. Expectation to be working clinically up to 40% as per job plan.
