An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Safeguarding team to cover Maternity Leave for a safeguarding practitioner this role would be suitable for a registered nurse or allied health care professional .
The applicant will need to be highly motivated and enthusiastic and have some experience in safeguarding.
We are looking for a dynamic forward-thinking, well organised individual with excellent communication skills .
You will need to have the ability to work autonomously, under pressure and to deadlines . You will need IT skills to communicate and deliver teaching.
Main duties of the job
To work closely with the Trust Safeguarding Team in supporting all activities necessary to ensure that the Trust meets its statutory responsibilities in safeguarding adults at risk of abuse and neglect.
To act as a role model for Trust staff in the area of safeguarding
To participate in the operational work of the Trust Safeguarding Team, this may include giving advice to Trust staff, participating in safeguarding strategy meetings, participating in safeguarding enquiries and the education of Trust staff and to support Mental Health Liaison Nurse.
To work within a multi-professional / agency arena, liaising with all relevant agencies to protect and promote the welfare of children and adults at risk of abuse and neglect.
