As Deputy Nurse Director in the CCA Care Group, you'll help lead services that support people at some of the most vulnerable moments in their lives. The post holder will:
- Provide leadership advice and support on clinical governance issues, including clinical and non-clinical risk assessment and management.
- Work closely with the Nurse Director and act on his behalf when absent.
- Provide leadership, support and monitor the development of the Governance Manager within a robust clinical governance system and structure.
Main duties of the job
Act as the Nurse Director in their absence.
Participate in the Trusts out-of-hours management arrangements contributing to the Duty Matron rota.
In the absence of the Matron or Clinical Manager, provide operational support within the Directorates.
Work closely with the Nurse Director to ensure that the business of the Directorate is carried out within StandingFinancial Instructions and other policies and procedures of the Trust.
Participate in the strategic vision for the care group and work closely with the Clinical Director and Nurse Director to achieve national and local initiatives/targets.
Support the monitoring of organisation of care within the Group and ensure a high standard of service is provided by support services.
Advice regarding skill mix and staffing levels to reflect clinical need and service developments.
Act as recruitment lead for the care group, providing representation at recruitment events.
To oversee the recruitment process for relevant staff working with the HR advisor.
Monitor the budget for human and material resources required for the clinical service in consultation with Nurse Director / Departmental Managers.

The Care Group provides the largest proportion of community health services for Sheffield, and as a key provider works in partnership across the city with colleagues across health and social care.
