The job of the Catering Assistant requires flexibility, physical tasks, precision, and working within cold environments. The Catering Assistant supports the production and delivery of safe, high-quality meals for patients, staff, and visitors. Working within the Central Production Unit, the role involves preparing, packing, labelling, and storing food; completing general and deep cleaning; operating pot-wash equipment; and maintaining hygiene, safety, and quality standards. The post holder may also assist in retail food service areas when required.
