Haematology Admin and Clerical Team Supervisor

Job summary

The Haematology Directorate is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and driven Admin and Clerical Team Supervisor to join the team on its journey to modernise and improve processes to deliver outstanding patient care.

The service is fast-paced and encompasses a number of clinical areas, including Haemato-Oncology, Haemostasis and Thrombosis and Anticoagulation. It has also recently joined the Specialised Cancer Services Directorate to form a new Care Group (Haematology and Specialised Cancer - HaSC).

As one of the Admin and Clerical Team Supervisors you will ensure that designated clinical services are supported by an efficient and effective administrativesystem, including clerical, receptionist and secretarial support, data collection and clinical coding.

The Haematology Directorate is currently engaged in several large improvement and modernisation projects which aim to improve patient experience and the delivery of clinical care - therefore it is an exciting time to join the service and provide leadership and drive innovation in a dynamic environment.

Main duties of the job

The Admin and Clerical Team Supervisor will provide supportive leadership and management to the Admin & Clerical team across the directorate. You will provide line manage a group of administrative staff, including both secretarial and clerical staff

You will also ensure data is recorded by the directorates administrative staff in an accurate and timely manner tosupport the directorates core business and ensure an excellent service is provided to patients.
