Applications are invited from enthusiastic, experienced chemotherapy nurses to join our dedicated team. You will need to be chemotherapy competent and have extensive experience in caring for patients undergoing chemotherapy treatments.
We are a nurse led unit with excellent patient experience feedback; we are looking for a highly motivated passionate nurse to join our band 6 team.
We are proud to provide exceptional cancer care across the region. As a key member of our specialist team you would play a vital role in delivering safe, compassionate and evidence based care to patients undergoing complex cancer treatments.
Main duties of the job
To provide a high standard of care to patients who attend the day case unit for treatment and other supportive therapies, ensuring the safe administration of cytotoxic drugs.
To work with the multi-disciplinary teams, to provide a seamless service for patients with cancer, their relatives and carers.
You will need to be able to demonstrate key skills as an experienced nurse as well as extensive knowledge and expert experience in delivering chemotherapy treatments. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, supportive care experience and the ability to work autonomously, whist ensuring patients and their family's needs are met.
