Job summary
The Community Reception Team are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join the team, covering Manor Clinic, Nether Edge Out-Patients and Firth Park Clinic.
The successful applicant will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors and staff, assisting with enquiries, signposting and escalating queries accordingly.
You will provide comprehensive reception and administrative support and will need to be a confident communicator with a good telephone manner. You will be able to prioritise a varied workload and be IT proficient.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across multiple sites with numerous clinical services and make a real difference to patient care within Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust.
Main duties of the job
The key duties of the post include greeting patients and visitors, inputting relevant information on the Electronic Patient Record (SystemOne & Connect), maintaining electronic room bookings (SharePoint and BookWise), dealing with enquiries and other routine clerical duties.
You will also provide administrative support to the Infrastructure Support Officer helping to maintain accurate records on building related matters and ensuring audit details are up to date, logging jobs with Estates and IT colleagues as required.
This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for the maximum period of 12 months. Where there is potential, the secondment/fixed term contract may finish early, or in the first instance, the secondment/fixed term contract may be extended due to the internal/external secondment of the substantive post holder. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts and secondments in relation to the substantive post holder.
Please also note any secondment must first be agreed with your current line manager. All existing NHS staff will only be considered on a secondment basis.
