Sheffield Occupational Health Service is proud to be a business unit of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals (STH), one of the UK's busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts.
We provide a comprehensive service to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Sheffield Children's Hospital, the primary care workforce in Sheffield and Rotherham, and to the health science students in both Universities in the city, a total patient population approximately 33,000.
This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic member of the administration team who is passionate about the delivery of a high quality service.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in administrative duties, good customer care skills, experience of dealing with enquiries either by telephone or face to face, have NVQ level 2 or equivalent level of experience in administration and office procedures as well as good typing/keyboard skills.
The post holder is responsible for ensuring the provision of an efficient clinical support serviceincluding Reception/Contact Centre service, undertaking the administrative duties associatedwith medical and nurse clinics and maintaining the medical records filing systems.
Main duties of the job
- To ensure reception is adequately manned at all times during office hours.
- To maintain the patient filing systems.
- To receive service users/visitors at reception in a polite and courteous manner, identify theirneeds and inform appropriate members of the multidisciplinary team.
- To receive and relay all messages in the agreed format promptly and accurately.
- To input data onto dedicated OH computer systems.
