An exciting opportunity has arose to join the Specialised Cancer Services, at Weston Park Hospital, as the Clerical Supervisor.
The Weston Park Cancer Centre is the leading Cancer Centre in the North of England, with its clinicians' providing a non-surgical oncology service to the populations of Barnsley, Chesterfield, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield. As well as patients from further afield.
The admin and clerical service within Weston Park is currently undergoing a cycle of improvement meaning you can also contribute to innovations underway and bring your ideas to the creative improvement space.
Main duties of the job
To ensure that designated clinical services are supported by an efficient and effective administrative system, including clerical, receptionist and data collection.
To line manage all clerical staff in the directorate.
To participate in any service changes or improvement projects.
To ensure data is recorded by the directorate's administrative staff in an accurate and timely fashion in order to support the directorate's core business and ensure an excellent service is provided to patients.
To liaise with nursing staff to plan and co-ordinate chemotherapy activity in WPH daycase unit.

This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for a period until 30th June due to the post being part of an organisational change within the Specialised Cancer Services Department. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts and the management of organisational change.
