Your responsibilities will span various governance facets, including incident management and compliance monitoring, involving thorough investigation and detailed reporting. With a primary focus on enhancing patient and staff safety, the role demands strong communication, leadership and influencing skills to drive positive change. You'll play a crucial part in fostering a supportive environment aligned with the values of the AEMP Governance Team and the broader Trust.

Main duties of the job

The Healthcare Governance Lead is the identified lead for coordinating and completing local healthcare governance activity, ensuring comprehensive cover and integration of the various governance functions e.g. Quality monitoring, incidents, complaints and risks.

The post holder will provide senior leadership and strategic oversight of governance across theAcute & Emergency Medicine Care Group. Acting as a key interface between corporate governance, operational leads, and clinical teams, the role will ensure robust governancesystems are in place and continuously improved in line with national standards and Trustpriorities.

The post holder will be accountable for leading the implementation, assurance, and coordinationof governance workstreams across the Care Group, as outlined in the STHFT HealthcareArrangements Policy.
