Job summary
A rare opportunity has arisen for highly motivated registered nurses with a broad range of clinical experience to join the Cardiac Catheter Suite Team at Sheffield Teaching Hospital. The Cardiac Catheter Suite provides specialised regional Cardiac service to the whole of the South Yorkshire region.
This is an important role in which the successful candidates will provide support to the senior nursing team and the unit.
Applicants will have extensive experience within the Cardiac Catheter Suite and must have completed the Cardiology competency package, or equivalent and have proven Leadership skills and be able to work autonomously as well as in a team. The applicant must possess excellent organisational & communication skills, be flexible, approachable, hard-working and have the ability to work well under pressure.

Main duties of the job
- To develop and provide specialised programmes of nursing care to a diverse range of patients and support to carers within the clinical environment.
- To lead a team of qualified, support and student team members.
- To take charge of the department regularly.
- Support the Senior Charge Nurse in ensuring the highest standard and quality of nursing care is delivered.
- To take part in the cath lab on call rota for out of hours emergency work
