An exciting opportunity has arisen within the PhysioWorks team for a Senior Therapy Assistant.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated candidate to join our team.
PhysioWorks is part of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Musculoskeletal Directorate, delivering Physiotherapy and Podiatry care in health and sport centres, community clinics and GP surgeries.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the operational leads, clinical and administrative staff.
The service delivers rehabilitation and education classes in several venues across the city including Physiotherapy group rooms, studios in leisure centres and in some venues we have access to the public gym. The post will be mainly within Physiotherapy but there may be opportunity to cross cover with the Podiatry team.
This post involves working with the general public and the wider multidisciplinary team so excellent communication and team working skills are required. The post will involve moving and handling of patients and equipment where appropriate.
The post holder will have access to a car, be available to transport stock and medicines around the city and may undertake weekly visits to clinic sites to monitor clinic rooms, stock and undertake infection control and governance related audits as well as assist in the running of our exercise classes. Applicants must be willing to perform a mix of clerical, domestic and patient related tasks.

Main duties of the job
Assisting the delivery of exercise and or education classes including the cleaning of stock before and after the class
Assisting the operational leads with infection control and governance related work including audits.
All aspects of stock control including ordering stock, putting stock away and transporting stock across the city.
Supporting the administrative team with administrative tasks relating to the running of the service.

- GCSE Grade 4/C in English and Mathematics or equivalent qualifications/experience
- 2 'A' levels or 'T'(technical) level 3 qualification or BTEC National Diploma (level 3), in a relevant health/healthcare subject or an equivalent level 3 qualification, e.g., apprenticeship in health/healthcare/fitness
