Job summary
An exciting opportunity to join the Surgical Services Senior Nursing Team as Personal Assistant (PA) for the Nurse Director and Deputy Nurse Director within Surgical Services.
You should have excellent communication, organisation and administrative skills. The successful candidate will join a team of Care Group PAs supporting the Senior Management team in their day to day duties.
The core purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to the Nurse Director and the Deputy Nurse Director.
Main duties of the job
Provide a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to the Nurse Director and Deputy Nurse Director.
Be the first point of contact for the Nurse Director. Respond effectively, politely and promptly to all enquiries, displaying excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Take the initiative in providing appropriate responses to enquiries, filtering and redirecting them as appropriate.
Manage the personal requirements of the Nurse Director and Deputy Nurse Director and all functions led from that office.
Prioritise and manage own workload in line with team priorities.
Produce consistently high standard of correspondence.
Manage the diaries and e-mail inboxes of the Nurse Director and Deputy Nurse Director, highlighting key issues in a timely manner.
Reply direct to correspondence or telephone calls as appropriate or draft correspondence on other matters.
