Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Specialised Cancer and Specialised Medicine and Rehabilitation Care Group as a Business Analyst on a permanent basis.
Line management for this post will be through Data Analytics Team however the postholder will also work closely with Operational and Service managers across all directorates within the Care Group to support the delivery of clinical services.
Main duties of the job
To collate, interpret and present large and complex datasets to support the delivery of clinical services.
To respond to ad hoc requests for data analysis to support service development and business change.
Monthly processing of data relating to income and activity to ensure accurate recharges for activity.
To monitor levels of clinical activity and to escalate any unusual variations to the senior management team.
To assist with other key business functions of the directorate, providing an information analyst role, including in relation to contract monitoring, reference costing, and data management at local level.

Specialised Cancer services are delivered at Weston Park Hospital in Sheffield, as well as at District General Hospitals within the wider region of South Yorkshire and Derbyshire.
The Specialised Medicine directorate covers Haematology, Dermatology, Infectious Diseases, and Clinical Immunology/Allergy. These services are delivered across both the Hallamshire Hospital and Northern General hospital for patients within Sheffield and across the wider region.
The Specialised Rehabilitation Services (SRS) directorate provides a regional service to patients requiring specialised spinal cord injury rehabilitation, specialist wheelchair and seating services, prosthetic limb and orthotic services and gait laboratory services within Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and across the region.
