Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Central Nursing Team to join and support the nursing workforce team.

The role is to :-Provide accurate and robust data for Nursing Workforce activity to meet statutory and local monitoring alongside national, regional and local reporting requirements.

Main duties of the job

Provide accurate and robust data for Nursing Workforce activity to meet statutory and local monitoring alongside national, regional, and local reporting requirements.

To provide Nursing workforce analysis and admin support to the Chief Nurse and Senior Nursing Team within Central Nursing. The post-holder will liaise with Nursing staff, e-Rostering team & external stakeholders to ensure quality data extracted from the eRostering, EPR systems, and other data bases together with the monitoring of acuity, staff deployment and utilisation of temporary staff across the Trust.

The post-holder will assist in ensuring Trust compliance with National guidance on Safer Staffing and the reporting required in relation to the Safer Nursing Care Tool and mandated quality indicators including national workforce provider returns.

Support the development and delivery of monthly board reports and the organisation of 6 monthly acuity data collection and subsequent reports. Support and arrange the annual and mid-year nursing and midwifery establishment review, ensuring all data is ready for the reviews.

  • Knowledge of a range of statistical/numerical techniques, procedures acquired through qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • NVQ 3 or equivalent qualifications in administration
  • Qualification demonstrating use of computer soft ware package
  • GCSE Grade A-C (9-4) in Maths and English or skills level 2 Maths & English equivalent.

Desirable

  • Experience of analysing NHSE workforce data reporting requirements
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills - ability to analyse highly complex data/information/problems and make judgements/draw conclusions - including ability to respond to unexpected demands.
