Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department as a Clinical Fellow working at DCT1/2 or Registrar level (qualification dependent), on the middle tier on-call rota.
The appointment is to commence 7th August 2024 for a fixed term period of 12 months. Fellowship in Dental Surgery or Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, or equivalent or Fellowship or Member of the Royal College of Surgeons or equivalent is essential. The post does not award a National Training Number. As this post is not recognised as a 'training post', full registration with the GDC with a licence to practise is required, and if the appointee does not hold right of residence in the UK sponsorship will be required.
Main duties of the job
- To cover maxillofacial surgery 1:8 weekend on-call non-resident.
- Provide support on the tier 1 Resident DCT on call rota.
- Provide professional clinical support to the Tier 1 DCTs who are resident 24/7.
- Work closely with the DCTs and Consultant as part of the on-call team.
