Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and credible Procurement Professional to lead the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw (SYB) Pathology Network Procurement team.

The SYB Pathology Network builds on the high quality pathology services currently provided in each of the five Acute Trusts to provide the best possible service for patients across the Integrated Care System (ICS) footprint. It is our mission to deliver high-quality and innovative laboratory medicine solutions to patients, clinicians and partners to improve health, add value to patient care, safeguard best clinical outcomes and support the transformation of healthcare across SYB and beyond.

If you are capable of influencing strategy across the ICS footprint and have experience in and can drive the delivery of complex procurement solutions on behalf of our stakeholders, we want to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

You will understand the business strategy and plan for the Network ensuring that procurement is co-ordinated in line with the strategic and operational needs of the Network and is delivered on time.

With responsibility for the management and performance of the Pathology Procurement team you will lead high-value tenders and contracts for goods and services across the Network, achieving the most economically advantageous outcome.

You will be skilled at developing collaborative relationships to deliver positive outcomes whilst ensuring that NHS statutory processes and legal requirements are met.
