Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst in the area of Chemistry. You would be joining a wider team of Analysts and Workstream Leads to play a key role in the implementation of the new Oracle Health EPR incorporating a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) across the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw (SYB) Pathology Network.

The post holder will provide analytical and practical support to the laboratory teams to take forward improvements and new ways of working, enable successful service transition, drive operational change and help realise the qualitative and quantitative benefits available with a fully integrated LIMS.

We are looking for an individual who has experience of Digital work and ideally with qualifications in Lean, Agile or Sigma and possess expertise in Change Management and data analysis preferably gained within the NHS or a similar largescale organisation. You will also have knowledge and understanding of NHS Laboratory procedures.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the relevant Workstream Lead, the Business Analyst (LIMS) will be responsible for steering the future state design, leading to a successful implementation of the LIMS deployment across SYB Pathology and in their assigned areas.

The post holder will collaborate with a team of change partners to work with the supplier, laboratory and operational transformation leads to design the clinical configuration. You will provide updates and produce standard operating procedures for the new processes developed for the Oracle Health LIMS module.

Together with the laboratory teams the post holder will ensure that all priorities are aligned to achieve the whole programme plan. You will support staff to develop and improve the new LIMS for all Laboratory services across SYB Pathology and will work with the clear objective that LIMS will improve patient safety, quality of care and patient experience.
