Job summary
Sheffield Sexual health is a level 3 provider of STI and contraceptive care. The service runs from the outpatient department at the Royal Hallamshire hospital with a spoke service in the city centre. Clinics run 6 days a week with Saturday clinics designed to cater for the needs of young people.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate leadership skills within a clinical environment. be self-motivated, dynamic and forward thinking and have existing management experience to be able to lead and develop the nursing team.
Some experience of implementing change would be an advantage but more importantly the mindset to move change forward is essential.
Good communication with the ability to use effective verbal and none verbal communication, written and IT skills to ensure patients receive timely, evidence based care and a positive patient experience is essential.
Sexual Health experience is not essential but would be desirable.
Main duties of the job
Main duties of the job: Take responsibility for the day to day management of the sexual health clinics within the hub and spoke clinic.
Be an effective leader and role model to the nursing workforce whilst offering support to the wider MDT.
Work closely with the clinical nurse specialist to support the implementation of both clinical and non-clinical governance.
Ensure that the standards and quality of care given are maintained in line trust policy.
Work flexibly as a member of the sexual heath team to ensure standards are being maintained, evaluated and where necessary improved.
Drive service improvement to facilitate the modernisation of patient services.
Manage rosters, sickness monitoring with overall responsibility for managing staff.

- 1st level RGN.
- Possession of a degree relevant to nursing or working towards.
- To have completed the national PEAP programme for practice supervisors or equivalent teaching and assessing qualification for those with ENB998.
- Certificate in management and leadership.

- ENB 934 care and management of patients with HIV and Aids or equivalent.
